The Nest Doorbell is the battery-powered video doorbell that works with any home. The Nest Doorbell is equipped with built-in intelligence, enabling it to differentiate between a person, package, animal, and vehicles, and send you alerts through the Google Home app, without requiring a subscription.[1]

If your Wi-Fi or power goes down, the Nest Doorbell can store up to 1 hour of recorded events, so you can still see what you missed.[4]

The Nest Doorbell is designed for easy installation, whether you choose a wired or wire-free setup. The built-in battery ensures it works with any door, or you can connect it to your existing doorbell wires using the included wire connector.

However, it's important to note that the battery-powered Nest Doorbell cannot continuously record 24/7 video history, even with a Nest Aware subscription.

You can talk and listen to visitors at your door, even when you're away,[1] using the Google Home app to respond or provide pre-recorded messages. You can also stream live video hands-free and communicate with visitors on compatible Google Nest and Amazon smart displays. Additionally, you can use compatible Google Nest and Amazon smart speakers and displays as a chime.

The Nest Doorbell requires the Google Home app and a free Google account, and it is not compatible with the Nest app or the Nest site.

The Nest Doorbell camera has a tall vertical field of view, making it easier to see people from head to toe or packages left on the ground. You can also keep a close eye on high-traffic areas with the help of Activity Zones.
